Our clients are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join the team!
The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
Technician duties include but are not limited to: venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, patient care, medication administration with all routes, appropriate, frequent and concise medical record documentation, appropriate and accurate patient history taking, knowledge of general anesthesia and sedation monitoring including adverse reactions and responses, knowledge of common animal diseases and processes, safety protocols and procedures of radiology including limits and landmarks for appropriate radiographic images, knowledge of CPR, and comfortable in client education.
- Must have documented previous experience
• Some surgery experience
• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
• Customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communications skills
• Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
• This a Day Shift position
