Our client has great opportunities available for experienced Veterinary Technicians to join their fast-paced, AAHA-accredited, 24-hour emergency & specialty hospital in Concord NH as an ICU Technician. Shifts consist of 3 - 12 hour day shifts or 3-12 hour night shifts. Work 3 days, have 4 off!!
Their specialties include Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care, and i131.
They are the only Emergency and Specialty veterinary hospital in Concord, NH, and work closely with state and local first responders. The relationships they have with shelters and rehabilitation facilities allow them to care for a variety of unique and complicated cases. Skills & Qualifications:
Certified veterinary technician with a minimum of three years technical experience,
Emergency experience preferred but not required
Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive, friendly attitude
Ability to plan, organize, make decisions and communicate effectively and clearly with fellow team members, clients and doctors
Able to handle multiple tasks at once, and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities
Strong technical skills including but not limited to:
Applied Laboratory, Radiology, Applied Pharmacology, Transfusion Medicine, Nursing Care and Anesthesia for Emergency Surgery
Provide top-quality care for patients in our ICU
Attend doctors rounds to provide input on the patients you are working with
Manage patient care plans created by the ICU doctors
Provide client updates on the patients under your care
Work closely with the Technician Assistant assigned to assist ICU to create a CARE TEAM.
